On The Island Book

I
I saw this book listed as number five for E books in a newspaper. (Of course, Fifty Shades of Grey books  were first 3 top spots) I decided to go to Amazon and read the reviews. I was already intrigued.  As I read the first chapter, I got addicted to it right away. You cannot put this book down! I ended up reading this book all day and finished it.  I think it was even better written than Fifty Shades of Grey.I loved the way the author alternated between the characters' minds. This is a great beach read. I was lucky I had some coconut water at home. LOL The author mentioned that MGM has already picked up this story for a feature film. Im sure it will be way better than Blue Lagoon.  I give this book 5 FULL stars. Here is the book description from Amazon.
When thirty-year-old English teacher Anna Emerson is offered a job tutoring T.J. Callahan at his family's summer rental in the Maldives, she accepts without hesitation; a working vacation on a tropical island trumps the library any day.

T.J. Callahan has no desire to leave town, not that anyone asked him. He's almost seventeen and if having cancer wasn't bad enough, now he has to spend his first summer in remission with his family - and a stack of overdue assignments - instead of his friends.

Anna and T.J. are en route to join T.J.'s family in the Maldives when the pilot of their seaplane suffers a fatal heart attack and crash-lands in the Indian Ocean. Adrift in shark-infested waters, their life jackets keep them afloat until they make it to the shore of an uninhabited island. Now Anna and T.J. just want to survive and they must work together to obtain water, food, fire, and shelter. Their basic needs might be met but as the days turn to weeks, and then months, the castaways encounter plenty of other obstacles, including violent tropical storms, the many dangers lurking in the sea, and the possibility that T.J.'s cancer could return. As T.J. celebrates yet another birthday on the island, Anna begins to wonder if the biggest challenge of all might be living with a boy who is gradually becoming a man.

Please do let me know you read the book so I can discuss it with you!

INSANITY The ASYLUM Thoughts

I am halfway done with INSANITY The ASLYUM! I never dreamed I actually am using this program.  I may sound insane but I LOVE, LOVE this program!  Yes, there was a lot of times I wanted to punch Shaun T's head and thought he has lost his mind but he really challenges YOU and makes you see what you CAN do.  Its a very physically challenging program but its mentally challenging too.  People could give up after just 10 minutes because it is in all in their MIND that they simply cannot do it.  You CAN go at a slower pace or make modifications rather than just giving up.  This applies a lot in REAL life.  Do you just give up easily if you have a challenge or an obstacle in your life? Or you persist until you can solve the problem?  I may be digging deep into your thoughts but this program is a bootcamp to your body and MIND.  As I have a counseling degree, I love this fitness program more as I use it.  As I have Usher's Syndrome, I have limited vision and a TERRIBLE balance.  Do I allow this condition to prevent me from using ASYLUM?  No. I mentally tell myself I CAN do it (some modifications, of course)  If you used to play sports in high school or college, this is your thing.  This program uses a mix of sports drills such as football, soccer, swimming, baseball, basketball, etc.   It's not boring!  If you want to dig more into this program, just go here..  I remember watching a video clip of this and I thought to myself, "Forget that, I'm never going to be able to do those workouts!" Well, I overcame my mental part and told myself to TRY.

ASYLUM 2 is coming out (rumored sometime in the Fall) and you cannot use this until you have done Asylum no. 1 first!
