A New Fitness Program

I just ordered a new fitness program named ChaLEAN from Beachbody company. Keep in mind that I am not a Beachbody coach so I'm not here trying to sell anything. I ordered Brazilian Butt Lift program and I liked it which led me to order another program. I should be getting it sometime next week and I can give a review on it after I am done with it! I already love doing cardio workouts on my treadmill and elliptical because I just love to watch TV! Time flies faster with this combo. I'm not crazy about doing cardio workouts on DVD because it can get boring faster this way. I've had the treadmill for MANY years and I STILL use it. That tells you something! I bought the elliptical last year because my muscles were too used with the treadmill! I love alternating between those two. The reason why I bought ChaLEAN is to tone up. I wanted to add resistance training so this program seemed to fit the need.

Jamaican Boa

I know it has been a long time ever since I wrote a blog. Hopefully, I will write more in the future. I've gotten a few questions about a boa and me. I almost missed the opportunity!

Jeremy and I went back to Ssndals Whitehouse where we stayed a few years ago. We LOVED the location that we just wanted to go back again. We had a GRAND time there! Sandals resorts are like cruises on land. Everything is included with just one price. Literally a stress free environment.

While Jeremy and I were lounging around the pool, Jeremy saw a man carrying a snake with a Sandals photographer walking around the pool. He told me about them. I scoffed and thought it was just a small, garden snake so I did not think it was a big deal. As we went to get drinks at the swim up bar, (Yes, you can SWIM and order drinks!) Jeremy talked to a man who was sitting at the bar. His wife came and raved about the snake. I saw her gesturing a snake around her neck. Jeremy said it was a boa. BOA????? I MUST have a picture with the BOA!! Jeremy thought I was nuts but he took me to the photographer and the boa owner. As the owner put the boa around my neck, I was surprised how heavy it felt! The owner told me not to "hold" the snake and leave my hands open. Jeremy got behind me for a picture. I was not afraid at all UNTIL the boa started to move. That was when the owner took the boa off my shoulders. LOL The boa owner had a deaf daughter which was a small world!

It was a great experience!I can cross that off from my bucket list. More stories in Jamaica later!

A Room to "Retreat"

We wanted the guest bedroom to be calming and soothing. I loved the color scheme that I saw in Tori Spelling's "blue" room where she usually talked for her TV show on Oxygen channel. The accent chair along with the side table are some of my favorite pieces in this house!

It took us some time to find the right bedroom furniture. We did not like any that we saw at the stores. It was either too white or too clean looking. We found the ones we loved via Internet. The research and searching were worth it!

Guest Bedroom for Kids

We wanted two guest bedrooms, one for adults and one for kids. That way, parents can take a bit of a breather while their kids stay in the kids' bedroom. It's for my nephew when he visits as well! I will start with the kids' guest bedroom. I wanted it to be colorful, TACTILE, and playful. I got the tactile idea from the children's museums that always emphasized that they have a "hands on" playroom. We wanted the kids to be comfortable in this room! The furnishings are super soft. Even the chair is mostly velvet. We got it at a GREAT deal at the Dump. (It's a store. Not an actual dumpster.) The comforters are faux fur so you really can't see that texture in the picture. The art we bought is actually game boards. You can take one off the wall and play on it.

Guest bedroom for adults is coming up next!
